This tour is the alternative variant for the fifth stage of the southern round of the Watzmann-Hochkönig round. Instead of over the summit of the Wastlhöhe, this route takes you through quiet alpine valleys, past St. Veit im Pongau before reaching Bischofshofen from the south. You cover 58 kilometers

There are also two different options for the fifth stage of the Watzmann-Hochkönig circuit. In the first variant, it goes up again. You cover almost 55 kilometers and 2,000 meters in altitude and drive up to the summit of the Wastlhöhe at 1,750 meters.

Important notice: The Tauern Cycle Path between Weißbach bei Lofer and Dießbach, as well as the alternative route via the B311, will be closed to cyclists from the end of March.
